What we’ve learned: Paul hates Top 5 lists … in fact, lists in general, or at least stating in public that he likes any kind of current music.  Trae wishes it was 2008 cause he doesn’t mind saying he was late to the party and is bummed he can’t include The Gaslight Anthem and Cage The Elephant.  We were all a little bit disappointed by Them Crooked Vultures, but they are better than the other super groups of the year (sorry Chickenfoot and Tinted Windows, ha), but we’re also not calling Dead Weather and Monsters Of Folk super groups just yet, but those albums were really really good though.  We’re all continuously impressed by our friends and their bands and Wilco.  We’re all in agreement on Continuum, but we’re a bit split on John Mayer’s latest release.  We feel like it was a pretty darn good year of music, don’t you as well?  We’re looking forward to 2010 releases by Steel Train, The Whigs, Foxy Shazam, and plenty of other folks as well we’re sure.
What’s next for us: We’re currently writing, demoing, and recording for a yet-to-be-named album that will be released sometime in 2010.  Trae’s moved to Nashville where we’re working on the album with producer, engineer, friend, and confidant Mr. Ryan Wilson. We have a short tour planned for February/March.  We’ll be out with our friends Winston Audio, dates will be posted soon.  We’ll be playing new songs as well as old and we hope to see your shining beautiful shining faces at each and every stop.
But before all of the aforementioned, we’ll be releasing an EP in the coming weeks for your listening pleasure.  It is called Again For The First Time EP.  After having written, recorded, and toured for over a year on our album Separation Of Church & Fate, it seemed fitting to revisit a few of the tracks, with a completely different approach, as the band that we are, the band that we have become, and the band that we will be.  Album art and more details will be available soon.  But for now, we give you the track listing, so that you may look forward to revised versions of:
Calling Us All Back Home
Shaking Like A Leaf
How Love Is Made
Take It Away
Two Dollar Bills
We’re excited about where we’re headed and ready to get some new music delivered to you.  Here’s to all of us, to you, and to yours, let’s share a toast to an amazing and blessed 2010.  Keep in touch, we’ll do the same, as always, much love…
