Knox layed down some killer parts on Sweet Love today, the bridge to that song is so fun and so different for us, but exactly what we should be doing.  I know every band is completely into themselves and uber excited about what they have going on, but as these songs continue to come together, I really feel so great about them and about us.  There’s a passion there and you can hear it coming out as you listen along and that’s the best gratification you can get.  I am nearly done, I hope that I will be able to finish up rhythm guitar tracks tomorrow as I’ve only got New Song, Take It Away, and Two Dollar Bills left to go.  That’s retarted amazing as we’d be ahead of schedule and that leaves more time to make sure the vocals come out great and all the bells and whistles are in place and we can relax a bit more along the way.  Our schedule (3 weeks tracking, 1 week mixing) has felt like somewhat of a militiary regiment thus far, its been good though, we’ve stayed on task and worked very hard.  Matt is pulling 7 day work weeks for us and I could not be more greatful, he’s insanely easy to work with and wants nothing but the best for each and every note of each and every song.  It’s a blessing to be able to track with someone so calm and down to earth, but with a keen ear to everything that is being tracked.  Lane is pulling double tracking duty, we’ve set up someone of a B Room in the lounge and Lane and Knox are working on keys at the same time as Matt and I track guitars.  We both swing the door open, check in on one another, share some obsurdities, and continue tracking, good times indeed!  Later this week our good buddy and former member Mike is dropping in to track some lead guitar and that’s going to round out several of the songs as he’s a master mind as far as tone and arrangement go.  A few other friends may drop in to add things here and there as well, Atlanta has such a good community of musicians and we’re all friends, there is a good thing going here, and I think its important to make sure that comes through on this record as well.  So stay tuned to Stickam and see who may walk in and track a part here and there.  We’re also starting a little friendly fire guerilla marketing stratgey here in the next couple days as well (wink), to be continued…
