So I went and got sick, the sniffles and snorting and blowing and all that gross stuff finally got to me and I went to the doc and got some medicine and rested through Day 14 and 15. A real bummed as vocals had just gotten started, but Matt got some initial mixing done and now we’re trying to get back on schedule. Its tough to play catch up in the studio when you don’t feel like you are on top of your game, but I’m pushing through and trying to do what I can. Day 15 was as follows:

Still a long way to go on Sweet Love, its a new song and more diverse than other and everything just hasn’t come together vocally as quickly as I had hoped. But we’ll keep plugging away at it today, layer some things, and get it where it needs to be. Initial mixes of Shaking Like A Leaf sound pretty slammin, but still need some bells and whistles … or shaker and tamborine, whichever we end up deciding on, ha. And Two Dollar Bills sounds killer, really happy with how it panned out. Back to comping, mixing, and singing, bye bye…
